Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, is all set to launch its upcoming smartphone Redmi K60 and may expand the K series. Ahead of the release, a well-known whistleblower has leaked the specifications of the series.

According to Kacper Skrzypek, a well-known insider, the upcoming Redmi K60 series is expected with Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro and Redmi K60E. The leak also hints at the code and chipset for future smartphones.

The Redmi K60, K60 Pro and K60E variants are said to be codenamed Socrates, Mondrian and Rembrandt respectively. Additionally, according to the whistleblower, the vanilla Redmi K60 is likely to come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, while the Redmi K60E could be powered by a MediaTek chip.

It was earlier reported that one of the upcoming Redmi K series phones will have a 64 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) technology. While the other variants should have a 54MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) technology.

These smartphones should have a flat screen with a level on the front panel. It is also likely to include a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 1,000 V charging. Like the Redmi K50 Gaming, the phone is likely to be available in China.

Meanwhile, all three variants of the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ have recently seen a price drop. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ (6GB RAM) variant is discounted by INR 1000. Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 8GB RAM variants have received a price cut of INR 2,000.
