After launching the Phantom X2 earlier this month, Tecno has launched its high-end Phantom X2 Pro 5G series in India. This phone is the first in the world with, among other things, a retractable portrait lens and a renewable fiber back panel. See pricing, features and other details below.

The Phantom X2 Pro 5G gets renewable fibers (for the Martian orange color) and has a 3.5D design inspired by lunar craters , a world's first for a slim camera bump. It has a central CNC metal frame and AF Nano coating on the back. The phone is also available in Stardust Gray color.
In terms of camera, the Phantom X2 Pro has the world's first 50MP retractable portrait lens with an ultra-wide F1.49 aperture for optical bokeh. This is accompanied by a 50MP main snapper and a 13MP third camera, along with a 32MP selfie camera. The photography section is further refined with the presence of the 7th generation IMAGIQ 790 ISP and features such as Super Night mode, Dual Video mode, 4K video and more.
There's a 6.8-inch Full HD+ AMOLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sample rate, P3 wide color gamut, and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection. Under the hood is a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip, which also powers the Phantom X2. It comes with 12GB RAM (up to 5GB RAM is supported) and 256GB storage.
The phone has a 5160mAh battery with 45W fast charging and runs HiOS 12 based on Android 12. Other details include vapor chamber cooling system, NFC, 3CC carrier stack, in-display fingerprint sensor. , including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth version 5.3.
Price and availability
The Tecno Phantom X2 Pro 5G retails for Rs 49,999 and competes with premium options like iQOO 9T, Realme GT 2 Pro, etc. It will launch from January 24 through Amazon India and retail stores.
