It even comes with a stand so you can display the bike once the build is complete.

Now that a bright new year has dawned, we hope you got everything you wished for during the holidays. If not, and you're still looking for the right toys to brighten up your winter, you should check out what's new in the LEGO Technic catalogue. Batman fans in particular will likely be excited to know that The Dark Knight's Batcycle, The Batman, will be available soon.

The set contains 641 items and is aimed at fans aged nine and over. Of course, being a LEGO Technic toy, it wouldn't be complete without moving parts. So the Batcycle has steering, suspension, an H4 articulated motor, and even a chain drive that connects that motor to the rear wheels. Importantly, there's also a fold-out center stand that can be lowered to make displaying your Batbike easier once it's built.

How big is the finished model? The dimensions are 6.5 inches (16 cm) high, 13 inches (33 cm) long and 4.5 inches (11 cm) wide. This means it's a good size for assembly and display, but not so big that you'll struggle to find the space to put everything together.

Like all LEGO sets, the Batcycle set comes with detailed assembly instructions. However, if you prefer visual learning, don't worry, Lego has you covered too. With the LEGO Builder app, you can see 3D models of the sets you're trying to build, which you can rotate and zoom in for a closer look. You can save the kits to your collection in the app and track your build progress, but the 3D model part seems particularly useful.

Now for the bad news if you're reading this after the January 3, 2023 release date. Unfortunately, the LEGO Technic Batcycle set is currently unavailable, so you'll have to wait a few months to get your hands on it. According to the toy manufacturer, the official release is scheduled for March 1, 2023 at an MSRP of $49.99.

What do you think of the design? Does it live up to your expectations or are you disappointed with how faithfully it reproduces the bike featured in the film? Would you like to add it to your collection or skip it and wait for a better Batcycle in the future? Let us know in the comments.
