Infinix Zero 5G 2023 Turbo Review: What's Special About It

Infinix Zero 5G 2023 Turbo Review: What's Special About It

Feb 12 – The Infinix-based smartphone maker was founded in 2013 by Transsion Holdings. The company has built a growing reputation for making affordable smartphones. This year, Infinix launched the Zero 5G 2023 Turbo. Launched in India on February 11, the mobile phone has already caused quite a stir. Here is everything you want to know about the 2023 Infinix Zero 5G Turbo smartphone.

Infinix Zero 5G 2023 Key Features

design

Infinix has spent a lot of money to develop this attractive smartphone. The front has minimal bevels on three sides and a wider "chin".

It has one of the smallest screen cutouts on the market for a selfie camera. The screen is large and flat. There's a large hidden horizontal headphone line above the screen, designed to hear the caller without having to put a small earpiece in your ear. Nothing comes.

The back wall is amazing! The phone has an awesome leather case. In the logo, “ZERO 5G Turbo” is capitalized and highlighted by contrasting materials. While the front of the phone attracts fingerprints, the rest of the device is perfectly durable.

The camera fan is in the upper left corner, the three lenses are arranged in a rectangle, and the LED flash is on the right.

show

The Zero 5G 2023 Turbo features a large 6.79-inch IPS LCD display with minimal top and side bezels. Since the AMOLED screen was highly anticipated, people were quite unhappy. However, the aforementioned panel is excellent for better resolutions and the image quality is quite sharp, which makes it possible to forget about the high contrast of AMOLED.

While viewing angles are pretty good, the screen didn't move at 90-degree angles. The screen is not very bright and is easily visible in direct sunlight. A 120Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz touch sampling rate makes the screen highly responsive and ideal for gaming.

My biggest concern is the lack of Widevine L1 certification, which limits video quality to 480p on most streaming services. It's not an obvious break, but it can be a problem if you want to watch the video on your phone.

camera

The triple rear camera has a 50 MP primary sensor, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The main gunner can capture clear, detailed images that are very sharp in shadow areas.

Auto HDR is effectively enabled, allowing the blue of the sky to flow into the frame while adjusting the exposure to sunlight. In good light conditions, the 2X telephoto lens does a good job. But night falls. Shooting speeds are quite slow, causing camera shake if your hands aren't steady enough.

In portrait mode, Infinix allows you to change f-numbers for different depths of focus. But the separation in the background is not very impressive.

There is a 16 MP selfie camera at the front. While the photos are generally good, they can look over-processed. The rear and front cameras allow for 4K video recording at 30 frames per second, which is a great feature for the price.

Performance

The many customization options offered by XOS (based on Android 12) include various features like dark mode themes, icons, and sounds that ensure you never get tired of using the phone.

When it comes to performance, the Infinix Zero 5G Turbo really shines, with its Mediatek Dimensity 1080 processor and 8GB of RAM, expandable by an additional 5GB via virtual RAM. It has 256 GB of internal storage. You can play several great games including Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) for hours in Ultra HDR mode and can maintain a constant 60fps for long periods of time.

You can also play Call of Duty (COD) Mobile on the highest settings, as well as Genshin Impact without excessive graphics, frame drops, or overheating issues.

battery and charge

The Infinix Zero 5G 2023 Turbo packs a large 5000 mAh battery despite its relatively slim form factor. Even with heavy use of the phone, such as gaming, watching videos, voice and video calls, and other activities, the phone easily lasted an average of 1.5 days. This is made possible by Dimincity 1080's effective battery life optimization.

The 33W fast charging capability is also fantastic, charging the phone from empty to full in around 90 to 100 minutes.

Infinix Zero 5G 2023 Turbo Price

The phone is priced at INR 19,999 which is TK 25,360. However, the official price of Infinix Zero 5G 2023 Turbo in Bangladesh may vary due to tax and other issues.

The result

Infinix got it for the 2023 Infinix Zero 5G Turbo at an incredible price, offering a fast chipset that is responsive under heavy use. In addition, the very simple look and the long battery life also contribute to the overall value.

On the downside, the software still has room for improvement, the speakerphone could use some work, the camera is mediocre at best, and the lack of the Widevine L1 is a clear disappointment.
