The Realme GT Neo 5 will debut in China on February 9, and the company has revealed some of the specs ahead of its official launch. This will be the first phone to support 240W fast charging technology, which will be one of the main advantages of 5G phones. According to the teaser, we expect to see a flagship Snapdragon chipset and a unique design under the hood.

The Realme GT Neo 5 has a purple LED on the back which will remind you of the Nothing Phone (1) thanks to the LED strip on the back. However, the Realme phone appears to only have a single LED strip and sits above a large rear camera module. Why the company placed them separately and not around the camera island is unknown from what we've seen on several older Android phones from various brands.

Its goals are currently unclear. It can be for display, or the company can add it for notifications. The teaser shows that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be available in a unique purple color with a matte finish. The device doesn't look thin and has a curved back panel with AG Glass technology.

There are three cameras on the back of the smartphone. The teaser has revealed that the new Realme phone will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The rear camera includes a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor, which also offers OIS support for less shaky videos.

It is unknown whether Realme will include a fast charger. At this point, the brand has yet to pull it from the retail box. The Realme GT Neo 5 will support 240W charging, which will likely help charge the battery up quickly. Leaks claim that the company plans to release two models. One of them will reportedly have a 5000mAh battery with 150W fast charging, the second variant supports 240W charging and has a smaller 4500mAh battery. Realme did the same with its aging GT phone to provide customers with both options. Higher wattage chargers will likely cost more than the 150W models.

The Realme GT Neo 5 is also expected to arrive in India considering that the GT series is also available in the country. However, there is still no official confirmation regarding the release. The device is expected to go on sale later this year.
