The Indian mid-range smartphone market will see two new offerings from OnePlus and Realme from BBK in the Nord and Narzo series. The OnePlus Nord CE 3 and Realme Narzo 60 target buyers who want a device that is adequate for daily tasks. Here's how the two phones go head-to-head.
Both phones offer an in-display fingerprint reader
The Nord CE 3 accommodates a top-center opening, unlike the Narzo 60, which has left-aligned cutouts. Both include a fingerprint scanner at the bottom. The OnePlus model will have a slightly slimmer chin, offering a better viewing experience than the Narzo 60. The Nord CE 3 will have two cutouts for the rear camera, while the Narzo 60 will have a taller circular module.
The Nord CE 3 offers a 120Hz AMOLED display
The Nord CE 3 has been officially confirmed to feature an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The previous tip said it has a 6.72-inch panel with Full HD+ resolution. Being the rebrand of Realme 11, the Narzo 60 sports a 6.43-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness.
The Narzo 60 may offer a 64 MP primary camera.
Nord CE 3 should get the main flagship-level sensor, 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 with OIS, as well as ultra-wide and macro lenses combined with LED flash. The Narzo 60 is equipped with a primary depth sensor of 64 MP (f/1.79) and 2MP (f/2.4) and LED flash. On the front, both the devices will have 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel selfie cameras.
Installs up to 12GB of RAM
The Nord CE 3 will be powered by Snapdragon 782G processor. Narzo 60 uses Dimension 6020. Both phones can have up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The OnePlus model runs Android 13 with Oxygen OS 13.1, unlike the Narzo 60 with Realme UI 4.0. These may include a 5,000mAh battery with 80W and 33W fast charging.
Nord CE 3 is good, but it will be a bit more expensive.
The Nord CE 3 is superior to the Narzo 60 in every way so it can be a bit more. Compared to the Narzo 60, the Nord CE 3 offers a more responsive display, a better main/selfie camera, a more powerful chipset and faster battery charging. If you want a solid mid-range offering, the Nord CE 3 is worth waiting for.
