Late Minecraft Streamer Technoblade Receives His Own Statue

The HiPixel Network has a statue honoring Technoblade, who was instrumental in the success of the Minecraft server in its early years.

Hypixel Network has added a glowing statue of Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade to their main lobby to celebrate their channel's 9th anniversary. In 2013 Technoblade joined the first HiPixel Minecraft server and started uploading YouTube videos of him playing the Blitz Survival Games minigame, quickly becoming a top player and gaining viewers on the platform.

On July 1, 2022, a video titled "So Long Nerds" was uploaded to the Technoblade channel, in which Technoblade's father revealed that his son had died after a year-long battle with sarcoma. Thanks to the Minecraft community, the Technoblade's brief addition to Minecraft 's title screen ended. A few days after the video was uploaded, and with the blessing of the Technoblade family, the HiPixel network began collecting tributes from players and created a book of condolences, which is currently in press.

While the book is now in physical production, the hipixel lobby area where players can originally offer their condolences has been redesigned for the second time, now featuring a statue on top of his grave - a reference to Minecraft 's iconic Technoblade skin. His iconic catchphrase is "Technoblade never dies". Although it's been months since Technoblade's death, a HiPixel forum post where players can leave messages to pay their respects has surpassed 3,000 replies and continues to see new activity daily.

To mark the Technoblade channel's nine-year anniversary, several more tributes have been uploaded to the platform, with the official YouTube channel uploading its own video titled "Technoblade Never Dies", documenting his rise to fame as one of Minecraft 's most popular characters. Content is always the creator. The tribute comes just days after YouTuber Dream teamed up with Technoblade's father to raise more than $500,000 for the Sarcoma Foundation of America.

HiPixel Network's tribute to Technoblade serves as a constant reminder of his influence on Minecraft and the game's community, and fans should be more than happy to remove Technoblade's tribute from Minecraft 's splash screen. More tributes can be expected in the future, as Dream itself has announced plans for future Technoblade Legacy events. Minecraft will never be the same without Technoblade, that's for sure, but its community is doing what they can to keep the memory alive.

Minecraft is available for PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One and older platforms.
