The Redmi K60 Could Come To Global Markets As Poco F5 Pro

  • A reliable source claims that the Redmi K60 will be called the Poco F5 Pro.
  • This means the Poco F5 Pro is expected to feature a QHD+ display and wireless charging.

Earlier this week, Xiaomi announced the Redmi K60 series, bringing affordable flagship phones to China. We expect at least one of these devices to land outside of China and undergo a name change, and a reliable source has already leaked the details.

MIUI Polska author Kacper Skrzype tweeted that the Redmi K60 will be called the Poco F5 Pro when it launches globally. Skshipek did not reveal more details such as target markets, but we assume that the phone will arrive in Europe and India. However, this Poco F Pro will be the first model of 2020 Poco F2 Pro.

However, a Poco F5 Pro based on the Redmi K60 would be an interesting proposition. The standard Redmi model has a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, a QHD+ OLED display and a 5500 mAh battery with 67W cable charging.

These are the first Redmi phones with wireless charging capability (30W speed). So the Poco F5 Pro based on this device will also get wireless charging in the Poco series. Otherwise, the K60 also offers a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP camera system, so don't expect much in that regard.

The Redmi K60 starts at 2499 Yuan (~$359) in China, but we can probably add ~$100 or more to the final price in Europe. It's still a good buy at under $450.

Skshipek also stated that the Redmi Note 12 SpeedGG-G-EVOffV . . Unfortunately, he did not have the right to vote on the Poco F5.
