Celebrity Deaths 2023: Actors, Singers And Stars We Lost This Year

Hollywood mourned the deaths this year of three former mafia members, Gangsta Bo, professional rally driver Ken Block and other celebrities.

Alicia Allen

Alicia Allen, John Snyder's second wife, passed away in February after a battle with breast cancer. He was 53 years old.

"Alicia was the fuel that made my biggest dreams come true. The inspiration behind every creative idea. The tapestry of my soul. The glue that held me together," the "Dukes of Hazzard" star wrote on social media.

"I miss him more than any word. Pain is a very small word. Sadness is a very small word. Love itself is a very small word."

Jansen Panettiere

Hayden Panettiere's brother, Jansen Panettiere, died suddenly in February. He was 28 years old.

Known in the industry as Reign, Jansen started his acting career in Hollywood as a 'Nashville' graduate. Eventually he gave up the big screen and started drawing full time.

The cause of death was not given at the time of death.

Richard Belzer

"Law & Order: SVU" alumnus Richard Belzer, 78, who played Detective John Munch from 1993 to 2016, died Feb. 19 at his home in France, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"Blaise had so many health problems and she had the last word," said Belize's six hoe, Belize's friend Bill Six.

The late actor is best known for his time on NBC's The Classified Materials and Homicide: Life on the Street.

Raquel Welch

Actress Raquel Welch passed away in February after falling ill. He was 82 years old.

Welch in 2010. Best known for his roles in 1966's The Amazing Voyage and One Million Years B.C. In her latest role, she appeared in a skimpy bikini, catapulting her to sex symbol status.

Pierre Patrick

Sharon Stone's brother, Patrick, died suddenly in February at the age of 57. A spokesperson for the Pennsylvania coroner confirmed that he died of sudden cardiac arrest due to a heart attack.

Patrick's death comes a year after the 11-month-old died of complete organic failure.

Patrick's widow, Tasha, wrote, "I feel like my heart has been ripped out of my chest." “Patrick has gone to our sweet brother... I don't know what else to say. He was my world.”

Trogoy Dovj

On February 12, David Zaliker, who played the rap trio De La Soul Trugui Dave, passed away. He was 54 years old.

The reason was not immediately released, although the rapper had suffered from heart failure in the last years of his life.

Kiernan Forbes

South African rapper Kiernan Forbes, better known by his stage name AKA, passed away on February 10.

The BBC and other media reported that he was shot dead in Durban. His family confirmed the death on Instagram the next day.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son," his parents, Tony and Lynn Forbes, said in a statement. "Kiernan Jared Forbes was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to us, especially the father of his beloved daughter Cairo."

Cody Longo

Days of Our Lives star Cody Longo has passed away at the age of 34.

The actor's manager Alex Gittleson confirmed the sad news on Twitter on Feb. 10, saying, "I am so devastated at the loss of my dear friend and client Cody Long."

"My heart goes out to his wonderful family," Gittleson added. "We will miss you, brother."

According to TMZ, Long was found lifeless in her bed at her home in Austin, Texas on February 8, and her loved ones suspect that alcohol may have been the cause of her death.

Cody is survived by his wife, Stephanie Longo, and three young children.

Cindy Williams

On January 30, it was announced that Laverne & Shirley alumna Cindy Williams had passed away at the age of 75.

"It has been a pleasure and a privilege to get to know and love her," the actress' children wrote in a statement.

"She was kind, pretty, generous, and had a wonderful sense of humor and intelligence that everyone loved."

The cause of Williams' death has not yet been revealed.

Odile Ventimiglia

On January 12, Odile, daughter of "The Sopranos" TV series star John Ventimiglia, passed away. He was 25 years old.

Audley's sister, Lucinda Ventimiglia, paid tribute to her brother on social media, writing on Instagram alongside the photos: "Words will never be enough to express the sadness we all feel. I love my little sister so much and will spend the rest of my life looking everywhere for her."

The cause of death was not disclosed.

David Croppy

Rock legend David Crosby has died after a "long" battle with an undisclosed illness. He was 81 years old.

The singer's husband, Ian Dance, announced the sad news in a statement to Variety on Jan. 19.

"Our beloved David (Cruise) Crosby passed away after a long illness. Surrounded by the love of his wife, soul mate Ian and son Django," the statement read.

He continued, "Although he is no longer with us, his humanity and good spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. His legacy lives on in his folk music. Peace, love and harmony to all who know and touch David. He will be greatly missed."

Al Brown

He passed away on January 13, 2023

Actor Al Brown, best known for his role as Colonel Stan Walczek on The Wire, passed away on January 13 in Las Vegas due to complications from Alzheimer's disease.

"I am saddened to learn that the Angels came to Al yesterday morning, Friday, January 13, 2023," the talent chief said in a statement. “May his memory be a blessing to his family, friends and all of you. This page will be a testament to Al's dedication and love for his fans.”

Lisa Marie Presley

February 1, 1968 - January 12, 2023

Lisa Marie Presley passed away on January 12 at the age of 54.

The singer-songwriter went into cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California, before she was taken to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center.

Sources told Page 6 that Presley was "coded multiple times" at the hospital and apparently there was no medication on site.

She was the only child of Elvis Presley, who died of a heart attack in 1977 at the age of 42, and Priscilla Presley, whose daughter was declared dead.

Jeff Beck

June 24, 1944 - January 10, 2023

Guitarist Jeff Beck died of bacterial meningitis in January. He was 78 years old.

"On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeff Beck. He passed away peacefully yesterday after a sudden attack of bacterial meningitis," his family said in a statement.

"The family requests privacy while addressing this loss," the statement read.

According to reports, her longtime collaborator Johnny Depp was by her side before her death.

Carol Cook

January 14, 1924 - January 11, 2023

Sixteen Candles star Carol Cook died of a heart attack on January 11, just days before her 99th birthday.

The legendary artist's career spans nearly 60 years, including Broadway hits, The Incredible Mr. She is best known for her work on The Limp and I Love Lucy.

Cooke was survived by her husband, Tom Troupe, whom she married in 1964. The couple had no children.

Earth, Wind and Fire drummer Fred White passed away on January 1st. He was 67 years old.

His brother and teammate Ferdin White shared the news on Instagram, writing that Fred was "an amazing, talented family member."
