New Renault Arkana ETech Full Hybrid Adds Even More Style And Prestige To The Electrified SUV Coupé

The new Renault Arkana E-Tech Full Hybrid brings even more style and sophistication to the award-winning SUV coupe, combining its original premium look with Renault's bold new "Nouvelle Fague" visual identity.

The latest model generation, which will be available to order from September, will debut alongside the range-topping Esprit Alpine Edition. This level of performance joins the Evolution and Techno models in the new line-up, with all versions enjoying improved standard features.

Significant refinements increase the attractiveness of Renault Arkana. This flagship model, designed as a bed hybrid, was presented in Europe in October 2020 and perfectly demonstrates the success of the "Renaulution" strategy. With more than 163,000 vehicles sold, they play a key role in the brand's C-segment recovery plan, alongside the new 100% electric Mégane E-Tech and the new Austral E-Tech full hybrid.

The new Renault Arkana E-Tech full hybrid, which combines a striking exterior with a spacious interior, is immediately recognizable by the Nouvel'R logo in the middle of the shiny black strip that connects the headlights. Depending on the fit, the diamond logo details come in black, satin chrome, or dark chrome.

Other exterior updates include a new front bumper aero profile on the two higher trim levels, Esprit Alpine trim in Techno and Satin Gray body colors, and lightly smoked crystal optic lenses.

The logo in the center of the tailgate is done in dark chrome and is identical to the previous logo, as are the lettering and the exhaust pipe. Finally, chrome elements such as the radiator grille and window frames are finished in black, gloss black or deep gloss black, depending on the version.

Sporty and stylish, the Alpine Esprit features new 19-inch light-alloy wheels, dark gray and high-gloss black emblems on the spoiler and an air flap on the tailgate. Inside, the seats are a combination of Eco TEP (made from 10% biomaterials) and artificial suede. The seats now have blue horizontal stitching and the Alpine logo on the back, and the seat belts have two blue stripes.

There's red, white and blue stitching on the inside of the doors and steering wheel, while the front passenger-facing dashboard is shaped like a trim, creating a sleek, understated effect.

Standard equipment is also improved across the rest of the range. The Evolution comes standard with navigation in the EASYLINK infotainment system, which also includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay® . The 7-inch screen displays information on a larger area.

Along with a body-matching air blade, the Techno shares the same wheels as the previous RS Line and E-Tech Engineered versions. The logo and lettering on the back are finished in satin chrome.

The entire range can be ordered in the new midnight blue color, all versions are equipped with the E-Tech 145 hp full hybrid engine. It combines two electric motors (a 36 kW main motor and an 18 kW high-voltage starter-generator) with a 69 kW (94 hp) 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, an intelligent multi-mode clutch and a 1.2 kWh battery

The new Renault Arkana E-Tech hybrid starts in electric mode and can run on pure electricity up to 80% of the time in the city, reducing consumption by 40% compared to a standard gasoline engine.

The highly efficient powerplant also results in CO2 emissions of 105g/km (it's on the Evolution tyres) and has an innovative electronic back-up function that can keep the battery charged down to at least 40%, providing extra help to keep you going. when needed in electric mode or to assist the engine on steep slopes.

It is built on the popular CMF-B modular platform, which has won awards for its efficiency, versatility, comfort and driving dynamics. In addition to the car's reassuring handling, the rear wheels of the new Arkana Hybrid are calibrated to maintain stability in high-speed cornering. Precise and direct steering improves chassis performance, while a short turning radius (11.2 m) makes the chassis light.

The new Renault Arkana will be available for order from the summer of 2023.
