Tributes To ‘beautiful Angel NHS Worker Who Died At Techno Club Night

Tributes have been paid to a young NHS worker who died while attending a techno music event in Wales.

Friends have described Olivia Spencer, 21, as a "beautiful angel" after she fell to her death at an event at the Vaults in Cardiff at the weekend.

Police are investigating Olivia's tragic death in the early hours of Saturday morning and the coroner has confirmed they have since been informed of her death.

Olivia's friends and family have since paid tribute to Treorchy doctor Rhonda, calling her "one of a kind".

His aunt Natalie Palmer said: “I have so many wonderful memories that I will cherish forever.

"We will miss you forever, I have no words."

Her friend Mia Clayton wrote: “Our beautiful Liv, I am so grateful to have shared my fondest memories with you, you were truly one of a kind.

"I hope you're out there playing because we all know you love to be crazy, it just won't be the same without you." I am completely heartbroken.

“The thought of never seeing your crazy dances or hearing your crazy stories again kills me, the world is so cruel.

"I will always love you and always miss you Olivia, forever 21, our beautiful angel."

Greg Dix, chief executive of Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB Nursing, said: “We were deeply saddened to learn of Olivia's tragic death and offer our deepest condolences to her family at this extremely difficult time.

“Olivia was much loved by the team on Ward 14 at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, loved by staff and patients, and we support her close colleagues as they come to terms with her death.

"We congratulate Olivia for her enthusiasm, passion for her role and the impact she has made on our health commission in such a short time."

The Vaults club, based in a former bank vault in Cardiff's Butetown, said it was "absolutely heartbroken" by Olivia's death.

In a statement they said: “As a country we have been absolutely devastated by the events of Friday night.

"During the event, concerns arose regarding the person who was immediately sent to the doctor for treatment.

“South Wales Ambulance Service arrived within minutes to assist our doctor but unfortunately the man died despite the best efforts of the paramedics.

"We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of this man and offer our continued support at this tragic time. »

A spokesman for the South Wales Central Investigation Service confirmed that Olivia's death has been reported to a coroner's officer, who will determine whether an inquest will be opened in the coming days.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: "South Wales Police are continuing to investigate the sudden and unexplained death of a 21-year-old woman who fell ill at a music event in Butetown, Cardiff, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

"She has been officially identified as Olivia Spencer from Pentre, Rhondda."

The force added that there were no suspicious circumstances and a file was being prepared on behalf of the doctor.
