Infinix Smart 8 review: design

The Infinix Smart 8 has a wooden texture, which makes it less susceptible to fingerprints and fading. The color-coordinated frame enhances the overall appearance of the smartphone. Additionally, the rear camera module also looks stylish. Using polymethyl methacrylate or PMMA, the device is lightweight, weighing approximately 189 grams and measuring 8.5mm thick. The smartphone fits comfortably in your hand.

The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a face unlock feature. Both are fast and the face unlock works well even in low light conditions.

Infinix Smart 8 review: display

The Infinix Smart 8 features a 6.6-inch HD+ punch-hole display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 500 nits peak brightness. The screen is also equipped with NEG protective glass. It has a prominent chin bar and offers a 90.8% screen-to-body ratio.

The screen is sleek and bright enough for indoor use. It produces decent colors and the volume is sufficient for content consumption. However, the viewing angles could be better.

The magic ring can sometimes be useful because it displays information such as battery level and phone call duration.

Infinix Smart 8 review: performance and software

The Infinix Smart 8 is powered by a Mediatek Helio G36 chipset coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The smartphone freezes when you try to open several applications at the same time. The smartphone runs XOS 13 based on Android 13 GB and offers a user-friendly interface. However, the issues with bloatware remain the same.

Infinix Smart 8 review: battery and charging

The device has a 5,000mAh battery that lasts for a whole day, but 10W charging takes a long time to charge the device.

Infinix Smart 8 review: camera

The Infinix Smart 8 has a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera. There is an 8 MP camera for selfies. The rear camera produces decent images, but without much detail. The selfie camera could be better. But you can't complain too much as it is an affordable smartphone at under Rs 7,000.

Infinix Smart 8 review: verdict

If you are looking for a stylish and affordable smartphone, then the Infinix Smart 8 is for you. Considering the price, the overall performance of the smartphone is quite satisfactory. However, charging is quite slow and the selfie camera is average.
