Android 14 and Funtouch 14
The Vivo X100 Pro runs Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 at home on this international version of the phone (China uses Origin OS 4 instead of the X100 Pro). It's the same software package as the iQOO 12, and it's the same as the previous Funtouch, but not changed at all.
In version 14, Funtouch differs from stock Android in terms of statistical capabilities, although vivo now supports large Google bubbles for quick one-line navigation.
Another custom and very useful item is located in the recent applications menu. As for the action key, you can choose between the standard carousel layout and the dual-finger tab layout - like MIUI, it can only rotate horizontally. The parameter already exists; No need to search the menu. Pop-up mode is available in split screen mode.

Below the lock screen are a clock and two shortcuts that default to the dialer and camera, but can be changed to device controls and wallet.
Always-on display settings are also available in the lock screen settings and offer many editing options: a wide choice of animations, clock styles, colors and backgrounds.

The App Drawer has an expandable category of recommended (most used) apps that highlights apps that start with the letter you select using the vertical slider on the right.

The rest of the UI contains many unsaved pieces. Under the Dynamic Effects submenu, vivo provides many options for customizing the home screen, lock screen, and animation effects. There are also various loading and facial recognition animations.

The sound menu also has several levels of customization. Like Samsung OneUI, Funtouch is aimed at the hearing impaired, and you can adjust the volume for the elderly or deaf. Also, notifications and calls have different volume sliders, but now you can set the volume for each app. A high-quality audio converter has been added to the mix.
The vibration intensity for calls and notifications can be adjusted individually. However, there is no system-wide equalizer for the speaker.
Sound options
Pressing the Volume Up button can be used to open an app or perform a specific function, although the details are limited to the camera app, such as turning the flashlight on/off, starting a voice recording, opening Facebook, or opening a specific app. . . For obvious reasons, this does not work when playing fast music. Pressing the volume down button twice is to launch the camera.

There is a special game mode “Ultra” and all that. Most of the features revolve around reducing interruptions while gaming by preventing certain apps from showing notifications. One of the coolest features of Vivo phones has long been the ability to turn off the screen and keep the game running in the background, which can be useful for those who want fast-paced games or some kind of farming. "or" grinding.
Ultra Gaming Mode
Funtouch offers its own gallery, system manager (iManager) and music player, but this version does not have a separate video program. The Google Files app is used to manage files. A Smart Remote app is included for using the IR blaster, and a dedicated Themes app is among the relatively short list of dedicated software.

The Vivo X100 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 9300 chipset for the first time since the iQOO 12 brought the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 to desktops last week.
The high-performance chip is built using TSMC's third-generation 4nm+ process, and Mediatek claims it offers 40% higher performance and 33% lower power than last year's Dimensity 9200.
The chip's processor has four Cortex-X4 cores (one at 3.25 GHz and three up to 2.85 GHz) and four Cortex-A720 units (up to 2.0 GHz) - 1x3.3 GHz Cortex - compare to x4 and 5x3. 0.2 GHz Cortex-A720 and 2 x 2.3 GHz Cortex-A520 SD 8 Gen 3 processor configuration.
The Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU shares one core from the G715 MC11 in the Dimension 9200 and two cores from the G715s MC10 in the Tensor G3 in the Pixel 8.
The top dog Mediate also supports LPDDR5T RAM, but according to Vivo's official specifications, it only has a 1TB (16GB) version. There are three more storage options: 12GB/256GB, 16GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB, and we understand they are expected to use LPDDR5X RAM. All versions come with UFS 4.0 storage. Our review unit has 16GB/512GB capacities.
On GeekBench
In the multinucleus test, the positions are reversed and the in vivo size difference increases to approximately 6%. Compared to the Dimensity 9200+ reported by the Xiaomi 13T Pro, the new chipset scores more than 50%, which is impressive to say the least.
On Android 10 there is practically no difference between vivo Ultra. Xiaomi 13T Pro. The Tensor G3 Pixel 8 Pro scored more than half its score in 9300 Dimensity.
In GFXBench, vivo consistently outperforms iQOO by a small margin. Dimensity 9300 is 20-30% larger than last year's Snapdragon.
It's less black and white in 3DMark: the Solar Bay ray tracing test gives the Dimensity 9300 a very slight advantage over the SD 8 Gen 3, winning only the Wild Life Extreme test (14%). A simple wild character loses about 10% of his life.
The Dimensity 9300's reliability under long-term workloads was discussed in the early days of Chisets, with one report noting that initial performance dropped to 46% during a 15-minute processor throttling test. This is because the larger base configuration is more prone to overheating than competing models.
However, a test similar to a typical 60-minute scan did not confirm these initial results. Starting from a high starting point, our test unit's performance gradually dropped to around 80% within the first 15 minutes of testing, where it stayed for a good 40 minutes, then dropped some more, and finally dropped off a bit. 73% of original power. It works quite stable and better than the iQOO 12 (actually, a little, but still).
GPU performance was similar to the iQOO, with the X100 Pro achieving a stability score of 55% in 3DMark, compared to 53% for the phone with an SD card.
Overall, we'd say that, at least in the X100 Pro application, the Dimensity 9300 is incredibly stable and very thick at the same time. During testing, the phone warmed up, but only slightly. More powerful than the new Mediatek chip.
