'We Live And Breathe Music,' House And Techno Returns To Valleys With Special Event

A GWENT man has launched a special event to bring house and techno music to the Valleys, bringing live music back to Wales' doorstep.

Ieuan Haile from Caerphilly hosted Haile's House to give the people of South Wales a live music event they could enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.

Ieuan said: "The Valley lives and breathes music in many different ways and genres and it's always been something for us to bring something to our Valley rather than having to travel to the capital or cross the English border to enjoy house music. It just stuck... as something I really wanted to do .

The event has been set for June 2023 with an "extraordinary" turnout, and dozens more have already signed up for this year's event at Bedwas Workmen's Hall in early February.

Funds raised from the event will be split between funding the next event and Jessie's Fund, a charity that provides education and musical equipment to children with severe disabilities who use musical performances to communicate and learn.

Ieuan has been surprised by the overwhelming response the event has received since its inception and hopes the event will continue to grow each year.

He added: "The first announcement of the event generated more amazing numbers than I could have ever imagined, and every announcement since then has had an incredible response."

"I just want to give people live local music on their doorstep so they don't have to travel miles or pay hundreds of pounds."

Given the current financial situation, admission prices are kept low to allow as many people as possible to attend any event.
