Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A3 smartphone in India at a price of Rs 7,299, which has created more competition among brands in the sub-$10,000 smartphone segment. The Redmi A3 has a "halo" design on the back which is usually seen on more expensive Redmi smartphones.

The Redmi A3 is priced at ₹ 7,299 for the 3GB RAM/64GB storage variant, ₹ 8,299 for the 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant and ₹ 9,299 for the 4GB RAM/128GB storage variant. 6 GB RAM / 128 GB.
The smartphone will go on sale from February 23 and can be purchased through Mi.com, Flipkart and other outlets.
Redmi A3 Specifications:
The Redmi A3 sports a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels and supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The front camera of the budget smartphone has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with water drop level.
The Redmi A3 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 chipset with up to 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage (expandable up to 1TB via a separate microSD card). The smartphone runs on the company's exclusive MIUI 14 custom skin based on the Android 13 operating system.
The budget smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery and can be charged via the included 10W fast charger. In terms of connectivity, Redmi A3 has a fingerprint sensor on the side, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, two 4G SIM card slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 and GNSS.
Apparently, the Redmi A3 has a dual camera setup at the back which includes an 8MP primary sensor and a 0.08MP secondary sensor. Additionally, there is a 5MP front shooter that caters to all selfie and video calling needs.
