Xiaomis Subbrand Redmi Finally Launched Its New Redmi Note 12 Series In China.

To put an end to all the leaks and rumors, the Xiaomi Redmi sub-brand has finally launched the new Redmi Note 12 series in China. The new series consists of four phones: Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro Plus and Note 12 Explorer Edition. The new series replaces the Redmi Note 11 series launched in India earlier this year.

The Explorer Edition is considered the most premium model in the series with premium features. As previously confirmed by the company, the smartphone supports 210W fast charging, which the company claims can charge the 4300mAh battery in 9 minutes. Additionally, the phone has a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX main camera sensor that probably takes better photos than we've seen on regular Redmi phones. There is also a three-dimensional cooling system that prevents the device from overheating during intense gaming or watching long videos.

The Redmi Note 12 series also marks the debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 1080, the new mid-range chipset recently announced by Mediatek. The new chipset expands the chip's camera capabilities by processing image data from sensors up to 200 MP.

All Redmi Note 12 phones are now available for pre-order in China, with sales starting on November 13. The smartphones are available in Midnight Dark, Time Blue, Mirror Porcelain White and Shallow Dream Galaxy hues.

Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition: The Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity SoC 1080 coupled with 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB of RAM and storage combinations. It has a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 200 MP Samsung HPX main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2 MP macro sensor. There are 16 MP up front. The phone runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and packs a 4300mAh battery with 210W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB Type-C port. Pricing starts from RMB 2,399 or around Rs 27,000.

Redmi Note 12 Pro and Pro Plus: Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ share the same 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and 900 nits of brightness. The phones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC paired with Mali G68 GPU.

The Note 12 Pro features a triple-camera setup on the rear, comprising a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus also has three sensors on the back, but with a 200MP Samsung HPX main sensor. Another big difference between these two phones is in their charging capabilities. Both phones come with a 5,000mAh battery, but the Pro model supports 67W fast charging and the Pro Plus model supports 120W fast charging.

The Note 12 Pro will be available in 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB models, while the Note 12 Pro Plus will be available in 8GB/256GB and 12GB /256 GB will be available.
