Xiaomi Teases Super Budget Redmi Watch 3 Active

Xiaomi has quietly unveiled the Redmi Watch 3 Active, its new budget smartphone launched globally.

Mi.com, Xiaomi's website, does not have a full list of features or specifications.

But the 47mm Watch 3 Active appears to be a cut-down version of the massive Redmi Watch 3.

There's no official price from Xiaomi, but retailers are offering the watch for around $39, which puts it in line with budget offerings like the Xiaomi Watch Lite.

Review : The best smartwatch on a budget.

The Redmi Watch 3 costs less than $100, so it's a completely different animal. And there aren't many smartwatches in the world at this price point.

The screen has been enlarged, up to 1.83 inches, but instead of an AMOLED screen, it is an LCD screen with a resolution of 240 x 280 pixels. The performance is 450 nits, but visually it will be significantly weaker compared to the standard Watch 3.

The 289 mAh battery lasts 8 to 12 days, depending on usage.

The Redmi Watch 3 Active has heart rate and SpO2 sensors, but no GPS or NFC.

It offers 5 ATM water resistance and, thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker, lets you make Bluetooth voice calls from a connected phone. It has more than 200 preset clocks and supports 100 sports modes.
