Realme is all set to launch its much-awaited 12 Pro 5G series in India, which is scheduled to launch on January 29 at 12:00 pm IST. The series will launch at least two variants: Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+. As the launch date approaches, Realme is gradually revealing key details about the smartphones.
The main feature of the Realme 12 Pro 5G family is the camera system. The series is expected to feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope lens with support for 120x superzoom. Realme highlights that this sensor is 27.62 percent larger (1/2-inch) in size compared to the one used in other flagship devices. Additionally, one of the models is expected to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), which promises to improve image stability.
In terms of processing power, the Realme 12 Pro is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, while the Realme 12 Pro+ could be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, reports Gadgets 360. The latest listing of the Realme 12 Pro+ on Geekbench (RMX3840) has 12 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and Android 14 based operating system.
Realme has also unveiled the color variants of the series, revealing a stylish blue variant and a cream variant that is very similar to the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G Sunrise Beige variant. To showcase the camera's capabilities, the company has posted some impressive camera samples on its Indian website.
Both models are expected to feature 5,000mAh batteries with support for 67W fast wired charging. The smartphones are likely to feature wide 6.7-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panels with curved edges and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. and the Realme 12 Pro+ could be accompanied by a third variant, the Realme 12 Pro Max, suggesting a leak.
The Realme 12 Pro 5G series will be available for purchase through Flipkart, marking the official entry of these smartphones into the Indian market.
