Realme today launched the Realme 12 Pro series consisting of Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+. We received the dark blue Pro+ model at the office for review, but before we get to testing, let's quickly open up the smartphone.
The Realme 12 Pro+ comes in a yellow retail box that includes a protective case, charging cable, 67W power adapter, and a SIM ejector tool.
The Realme 12 Pro+ features a 6.7-inch 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED curved display with an in-display fingerprint scanner, and we immediately found the phone to be fast and accurate. Camera 32 MP (IMX615).
Flip the phone over and you'll see a similar design to the Realme 11 Pro+, with a 3D Jubilee strip running along the back cover, punctuated by a centrally placed camera island. The Realme 12 Pro+ has a vegan leather back panel “made of high-quality, stain-resistant silicone” which gives it a premium look. The panel is very pleasant to the touch and resistant to fingerprints, while providing good grip.
While the Realme 12 Pro+ has a similar design to the Realme 11 Pro+, it now has a larger circular camera island compared to its predecessor. It is equipped with an LED flash and three cameras: a 50-megapixel main camera (IMX890, OIS), a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens (OV64B, OIS) and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens. The telephoto lens features 3x optical zoom and 6x internal touch zoom.
A gold frame surrounds the camera island and features a sun-reflecting disc that creates a cool visual effect when light hits it from different directions. This makes the Realme 12 Pro+ a premium blue version of the submarine.
Inside, the Realme 12 Pro+ is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 and is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W charging.
Other features of the Realme 12 Pro+ include IP65 rating, 5G connectivity, dual HD speakers, and Dolby Atmos. We've started the review process, so stay tuned to see how the Realme 12 Pro+ performs.
