Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to descend on Las Vegas this weekend to watch the first Super Bowl. The entertainment capital of the world is gearing up to bring out its best.

Numerous events will be taking place throughout the Las Vegas Valley in the coming days, including live performances from Grammy Award-winning artists, large stages, “Big Game” viewing parties and retro parties.

“The level of service that Las Vegas provides is a direct upgrade to the Super Bowl,” Sam Joffray, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee, told the Sun. "What happens here every year, with the huge Super Bowl parties, the casino parties, the party atmosphere that Las Vegas has every year, elevates it above the real Super Bowl and I think it will be the next level."
